ABOUT Jennifer

Hi!  I am Jennifer.  I am a mom of three boys,  and have taught Preschool for 8 years now.  I graduated from Brigham Young University in 2003 with a Bachelor's Degree in                     Family and Consumer Sciences Education.  After graduating, I became a full time FACS teacher for three years at Highland High School.  I taught: Child Development, Nutrition, Culinary Arts, and I took part in the Preschool and Daycare at Highland High.   I then decided to teach Preschool in my home and have been doing it ever since.  



I have had excellent training in lesson planning, and developing curriculum. I have had such wonderful teachers throughout the years and hope to provide that same experience for your child.  I truly feel like teaching is in my DNA-it is what I love to do.  I enjoy children and the smart, kind, fun, and even sassy personality traits that they bring into this word.

I am dedicated in providing a challenging and friendly environment for your child to thrive, learn, and enjoy their Preschool Years.  Preschool is so essential to the learnig and development of your child.  I keep my curriculum in line with the Utah State Core Standards so that when your child goes to Kindergarten, they are prepared and don't have any surprises.  

I believe in regularly assessing the individual needs of your child.  I create centers where I am able to give them one-on-one time to help them with any particular item they might be struggling with (cutting paper, writing their name, learning numbers, letter sounds, sight words, etc).
